Physical Health Eat Well What is a 'functional' food and why would you want to include them in your diet? Note: fortification can make a food 'functional' but there are many naturally occurring functional foods, too, and yes, you should include as many as possible in your diet! Be Active Sure, we all know that if we are more active, we will feel better and be less likely to have medical problems. But did you think about how this relates to health care costs? This study shows the best road to savings is staying active. Let's move! This timer includes cardio, resistance bands and then ends with a plank challenge. For the cardio portion, you'll need a bit of space, like a longish room, like a yard or a stretch of sidewalk. You'll do 10 different exercises, 60 seconds each, moving in the prescribed way. The second portion will be 10 different strength training exercises (2 rounds). The final push will be different plank versions to really tone your core. You can do this! Start your music! Spiritual Health It's not about religion. Spirituality is important, even for kids and teenagers. Mental & Emotional Health Sometimes 'faking it' is a good idea. Sometimes it actually works to put you in a better frame of mind. (I know, thought I was talking about something else, right ;) ) Social Health How are you with attachments? Clingy? Smothering?
