If you are a working mom, you need to hear this.

If you are in a relationship with or married to a working mom, you need to hear this.

If your mom is a working mom, you need to hear this.

I am a working mom, and you should know I am doing the best that I can.

I feel as th...

At the beginning of every school year, my boys and I have a discussion along the same lines: one can never have too many friends.  One can never reach out too often.  One can never know what good can come reaching out, from leaving the security and safety of the establ...

Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

When you look at a person, any person, remember that everyone has a story.  Everyone has gone through something that has changed them.  That they are reacting to.  That has colored their viewpoin...

In less than a week, we will have a teenager in the house.  You’d think this wouldn’t be such an awe-inspiring shock-inducing moment … except that I know that as soon as we hit the teen years, the angst will ramp-up, and no longer are my hubby and I the ones making all...

October 5, 2017

I had something else written for this week.  (Don't worry, you'll get to read it at some point.)  Like many of us who post our opinions and thoughts for the world to see, my inclinations completely changed as we woke up to horrible news on Tuesday morning.  I, like al...

(aka 10 things I am so very happy that my kids have learned from us during these years overseas)

Life stuff

1.  Good toilet paper is a good, no, a necessary thing. There is no point at all ever that 1-ply toilet paper is appropriate.  Nor should toilet paper be colore...

This is a redraft of a post I wrote a bit ago.  Sadly, seemed opportune again, to let these thoughts fly.

This is a rant.  You can skip if you want.  I can’t sit idle when I have all of these thoughts flying around in my head.

… "limits are for those who lack...

A repost.  I think a well-timed one.  As I wrote to my friend, how did we get to this point where killing people was a way to make a point? wtf?! I grieve for the loss of life, and the loss of a more innocent time that my children will never know.

This is a...

My five year old whispered in my ear with her tiny voice quivering that an adult told

her a few weeks ago that she was fat!  It breaks my heart to think my beautiful

daughter was thinking this was true for weeks. It is the first time she ever really

doubted h...

A friend of mine is struggling with a diagnosis her son received earlier in the year (minor to moderate learning disabilities).  It isn’t that she isn’t accepting of the diagnosis, or that she hates that her child is being ‘labeled’ (although none of that is happy news...

Meet your Coach

I am Susie Csorsz Brown and I am a Certified Parent Coach through PCI, specializing in families in transition. I am also a Wellness Coach.  I have a Health background, and I practice what I preach. I have three children, so I coach from experience. I am a Foreign Service spouse (since 2000), and have learned to deal with family issues from the stress of relocation, school issues, medical situations, pregnancy and divorce as well as family angst.

You should know, healthy eating is one of my passions.  The thing is: food can be good for you and taste good, too.  I want my kids to eat well, and to grow up knowing what smarter food options are out there.
