Eat Well

Guess what?  You don’t actually need to eat meat to eat complete proteins.  There are amazingly great tasting options.  No, you do not have to be vegetarian to enjoy them, either,

Be Active

Isn't it amazing how much information is out there on the internet?  Even more amazing is how much of it is not quite accurate, especially when it comes to things that are (or appear to be) hard to achieve, like weight loss.

Let's move!

I've been promising a playground-themed workout and ... here it is!  8 cycles of ABAB format, each set is 30 seconds of work, and 10 seconds of rest, with 30 seconds of rest between sets.

Just a couple move explanations:

Round the world clap (round 3): jump up, and clap your hands high, put your hands down on the ground (hands and toes, sort of like bear crawl), and kick your heels up to 'click' them together.

Invisible chair sit  (round 5): another name for squat hold.

Teeter totter (round 6): another name for rolling boat.  Lie on your back, and lift your legs up into a V position.  Rock back onto your high back, and then roll back and catch your balance on your tailbone.

Log jump (round 9): hold your arms over your head, and bounce up and down, trying to keep everything in as straight of a line as possible.  Keep your abs firm.

Bow ties (round 9): Lie on your back, knees bent.  Lift your head and upper back.  Reach with your right hand towards your outside right ankle.  Then reach with your left hand for your outside left ankle.  This move will work your core, especially your obliques.

Spiritual Health

That voice in our head can be very loud, very distracting.  Sometimes that voice in our head is doing a huge disservice to our ability to find peace and happiness.

This is fascinating to me because, well, I work in an office and sit at a desk, and I've TOTALLY been there.

Isn't it funny how much louder our actions can be than our words?  Well, here are some of the biggest body language faux-pas we should try to avoid (especially the close-talking; when people are in my personal space, it is literally all I can do to force myself not to back up!).

New post: Isn't it amazing how hard it is to see what those around us do for us?  Until, that is, we have to do it ourselves.
